Ambassador Moore to Visit Golubovci

U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro, Roderick W. Moore, will visit Podgorica's urban municipality of Golubovci on May 16.  Ambassador Moore will meet with local officials and citizens and will visit several U.S. assistance projects in the municipality.  
Ambassador Moore will call on the President of Golubovci Urban Municipality, Cedo Dobrovic, at the beginning of the visit.  Ambassador Moore and Mr. Dobrovic will give short statements and take questions from journalists following the meeting.  Journalists interested in covering this press availability should be at the municipality building in Golubovci at 10:45.   During the visit, Ambassador Moore will visit Golubovci's public health center, which was built in 1980 with the help of the U.S. people after the devastating earthquake in 1979.   He will also visit the "Milan Vukotic" elementary school, where the American people provided a computer lab worth $16,000, and the school's branch building in the village of Srpska, which was constructed thanks to a U.S. Government donation of over $272,000 in 2004.  The Ambassador will then view the tourist center and bird watching towers at Skadar Lake, which were constructed with a donation of $100,000 from the American people to help improve tourism at the Skadar National Park.For more details on this visit, please contact Sasa Brajovic from the Embassy on +382 67 28 35 42.
