U.S. Consulate Sponsors California Professor's Visit

On June 13, 2005, Professor Barrie Becker from Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, California, visited Montenegro under the auspices of the School Connectivity Project run by Catholic Relief Services through a State Department Bureau for Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) grant. Professor Becker spent 10 days with a host teacher family in Montenegro as part of the exchange program and held workshops with students and teachers from schools in Podgorica, Bijelo Polje, and Bar who have been participating in the project. The workshops dealt with various topics including effective communication, active learning, the use of internet technology in the teaching process, and presenting their countries and schools.
