The project included the reconstruction of the pump station and construction of a pressure main of the Uganjska vrela local water supply system. As result of the project, approximately 120,000 € will be saved annually, if the reconstructed water system is used optimally, especially in the winter months during the high rainfall season.
The project was funded by a $244,500 donation from the American people through USAID and implemented by USAID's partner IRD. The Municipality of Cetinje, through the Waterworks and Sewage Company, provided an additional $79,700.
The project is part of $12 million donation to Montenegro for economic and environmental development in the coastal region.
Journalists interested in covering the event should be in Uganjska vrela, next to the waterworks pump station, in Cetinje, no later than 10:45 on Wednesday, July 27.
