United States Donates Equipment to Customs and Border Police to Help Prevent Cross-Border Crime
On Wednesday, June 10, the U.S. Export Control and Border Security (EXBS) program donated equipment worth $96,000 to the Government of Montenegro. The equipment consisted of special technical devices aimed at detecting and preventing various forms of illegal border crossing of people and goods. $59,000 worth equipment was donated to the Customs Administration. $37,000 worth equipment was given to the Border Police.
Regional EXBS Program Manager for Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina George Levitski delivered the equipment to Customs Administration Director Miodrag Radusinovic and to Border Police Head Vesko Vukadinovic.
The Export Control and Border Security (EXBS) program is funded by the American people through the U.S. Department of State. The program provides equipment and practical training to members of the Customs Administration and Border Police. The program is currently organizing the training for Customs and Border Police officers of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro at Podgorica Airport.
