U.S. Consulate Supports Montenegrin Education Reform

May 12, 2005

On May 11, 2005, Professor Claire Bradin Siskin of Pittsburgh University and director of the Language Media Center visited Montenegro under the auspices of the Regional School Connectivity Project run by Catholic Relief Services through a U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs grant.

Professor Siskin spent two days in Montenegro and held workshops with students and teachers from schools in Podgorica, Cetinje and Kotor who have been participating in the project. The workshops dealt with topics like the use of internet technology in the teaching process, conflict resolution, effective communication, and active learning.
