Female Writing Conference at American Corner

On Thursday February 21, Montenegro's Society for Anglo-American Literary Studies and American Corner will organize a conference on "Female Writing" at the American Corner in the Cultural and Informative Center (KIC) in Podgorica. U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro, Roderick W. Moore, and British Ambassador to Montenegro, Kevin Lyne, will open the conference.
Professor Radojka Vukcevic from the University of Belgrade will give an introductory speech. The list of participants also includes the professors from the University of Montenegro and the NGO experts: Mirjana Daničić, Nataša Marković, Bojka Djukanović, Marija Knežević, Saša Simović, Marjana Čukić, Jelena Pralas, Slavica Perović, Neda Antić, Ervina Dabažinović, Tatjana Jovović, Jasmina Nikčević, Spomenka Delibašić, Sonja Tomović-Šundić, Aleksandra Banjević i Aleksandra Nikčević-Batričević. The aim of the conference is to discuss female writing from different theoretical perspectives and from the angle of different national literatures. The special emphasis will be on the issue of identity, the quest for freedom and independence, and many other aspects that constitute the complex issue of female writing.
