"Montenegrin Police - Look Into Future" Round Table Sponsored by U.S. Department of Justice - ICITAP Program

On December 16, 2005 a one-day Round Table "Montenegrin Police - Look into Future" was held at the "Crna Gora" hotel, yellow salon in Podgorica. The Round Table was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice, ICITAP (International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program), under the guidance of Gary Bennett - Program Manager, and organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior in Montenegro.
Round Table participants reflected diversity of Montenegrin society: a cross-section of vocations, religions, beliefs, ages, and genders. They all gave contribution to ICITAP and Montenegro MoI's intent as to seek input from citizens in order to profile a future police officer in Montenegro.
The Round Table will be followed up by a comprehensive advertising campaign: contact shows on Montenegro TV and Radio, newspapers and billboard advertisements. The goal is to entice broad population to express their minds as to what kind of police officers they want to see in future Montenegro.
