Public Affairs Officer Judith Jones
Judith Jones, the public affairs officer in Podgorica, joined the State Department in 1983. She has worked as a political officer in Australia, Greece and Bosnia, and served a consular tour in the Philippines. In Washington, she has served as the PLO desk officer as the Israel/Egypt action officer for the US Navy, and a UN human rights officer. She worked on European peacekeeping issues in the pol-mil bureau and was a watch stander in the Nuclear Risk Reduction Center. Most recently, she taught at the Army's Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Before joining the Foreign Service, Judith taught English at Athens College in Greece. Her BA and MA are in English literature (Ohio Wesleyan and Colombia University); her PhD is in international relations (University of Miami, FL).
