Anti-Terrorist Unit Conducts Live Fire Exercise

Under cover of live fire and explosives, Montenegro's elite Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ) showed off their skills to Ambassador Moore, Defense Attache Knych, and other Embassy personnel on July 21 near Podgorica.   Members of the SAJ unit have been trained in the United States in using the most modern weapons and tactics to resolve hostage situations and other dangerous scenarios.  Police Director Veljovic, SAJ Commander Spalevic, and the Ambassador all expressed their admiration for the tactical skills demonstrated by SAJ personnel, and all expressed their desire to continue cooperation in this area between the United States and Montenegro.
