Montenegrin Officials Complete U.S.-Sponsored Public Administration Course
May 19, 2005
On May 20, at the Law Faculty in Podgorica, the Center for Public Administration of Montenegro will award certificates to the first group of Montenegrin public servants who participated in the “Certified Program for Public Administration” conducted by the Center in cooperation with the School for Urban and Public Affairs of the University of Texas, Arlington.
The public administration training is part of a program linking the University of Texas and the University of Montenegro and funded by the American people through the Department of State. The two universities established the Center for Public Administration of Montenegro in March 2004.
The Center for Public Administration of Montenegro, in cooperation with its American partner, is in the process of organizing seminars for public servants from the municipalities of Podgorica, Danilovgrad, and Cetinje on organizational development, ethics in public administration, and managing urban planning activities. The Center, located within the Law Faculty, intends to expand its training programs to other Montenegrin municipalities.
Journalists interested in covering the event should be at the Law School in Podgorica no later than 13:45 on Friday, May 20.
