U.S. Funds over 1000 Community Development Projects in Montenegro

On May 7, U.S. Embassy Podgorica's Charge d’Affaires, Marsha E. Barnes, and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director, Keith Simmons, will formally mark the completion of over one thousand U.S.-funded community development projects in Montenegro. Montenegro's Prime Minister, Zeljko Sturanovic, will also speak at the ceremony.

Various Ministers and Mayors of all Montenegrin municipalities have been invited to attend the event.

Since 2002, USAID has implemented 1,161 community development projects worth over $50 million as part of its overall activities in Montenegro.

Journalists interested in covering the event should be in the Hotel "Podgorica" in Podgorica no later than 11:30 on Monday May 7.
