Ambassador Moore is Interviewed by Radio Free Europe
Excerpts from the April 10 Radio Free Europe (RFE) interview with Ambassador Moore were re-run by all major print and electronic media. The most influential daily newspaper "Vijesti" had a front page photo of the Ambassador with his statement that "the U.S. hopes Montenegro to align its Kosovo position with its Euro-Atlantic partners...The U.S. believes that Kosovo's independence will bring stability and peace to the region." Ambassador Moore added that two thirds of the EU, three quarters of NATO and three of Serbia's neighbors have already recognized Kosovo. Ambassador Moore also congratulated President Vujanovic on his re-election, voicing his optimism that the U.S. - Montenegrin partnership would continue as it had during Vujanovic's previous term.
