Local Residents Share Their Thoughts

On July 23, 2008, Ambassador Moore met with Muslim residents of Bukovica to discuss war crimes that occurred there between 1992 and 1993.  While visiting, residents also took the opportunity to share their thoughts on the current situation in Bukovica, including transportation problems due to difficult road conditions and the lack of economic opportunities.

Ambassador Moore also met with ethnic Serb residents of Bukovica during his visit.  Serb residents shared many of the same concerns regarding road conditions and economic prospects in the area.  He then visited a church there which the local residents are constructing using their own time and labor.
