Friendship Agreement is Signed

Podgorica Mayor Miomir Mugosa and Maryland's Secretary of State John P. McDonough signed a friendship agreement between the State of Maryland and the City of Podgorica on September 8th in Maryland.  The U.S. - Montenegro Business Council, which aims to strengthen the business ties between the two countries, helped facilitate the agreement.  The official signing marks the beginning of a mutually beneficial relationship between the two regions and the Business Council hopes that friendship agreements such as this one will pave the way for increased cooperation, especially in the commercial sector, between the U.S. and Montenegro.
