U.S. Embassy Supports Border Security
April 5, 2013
An export Control and Border Related Security (EXBS) Program expert delivered a two week Green Border Tracking Course designed specifically for land border officers. The training was held in Police Academy in Danilovgrad from March 25-April 5, 2013. In total, 23 participants completed the training focused on practical skills, including wilderness tracking techniques that can be applied at any open land border location. The training was funded by the EXBS Program and hosted jointly by the Police Academy and Border Police.
The EXBS program is the United States Government's premier initiative to help other countries improve their export control systems. The EXBS program is a U.S. Government interagency program, managed by the Department of State's Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation, designed to help prevent proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), their missile delivery systems, conventional weapons, and related items by assisting foreign governments to establish and implement effective export control systems that meet international standards.
