Ambassador Brown delivers hygiene parcels to Konik residents

On Friday, September 7, at Konik Camp in Podgorica, U.S. Ambassador Sue K. Brown, Mayor of Podgorica Miomir Mugosa and Red Cross Secretary General Jelena Darmanović Dubak delivered the U.S. emergency assistance to the residents of the Konik Camp who suffered from the devastating fire outbreak on July 24, in which 150 families with 800 members lost their homes.

The United States Government has donated $50,000 in International Disaster Assistance Funds to respond to the needs of the residents of the Konik camp following the July devastating fire. The donation have been transferred to the Montenegrin Red Cross which procured a kitchen container with appliances and two ambulance containers for the provision of basic services to the affected population of the camp. Part of the donation was used to procure 850 hygiene parcels to meet the critical needs of the families and their members.
