U.S. Embassy Condemns Assault on LGBT Rights Supporters

The United States condemns the September 9 assault of LGBT rights supporters.  The attack is an affront to basic principles of human dignity and equality.  We welcome the Government of Montenegro’s condemnation of this crime and promise to conduct a thorough investigation.  The United States is committed to working with all relevant partners in Montenegro to end such abuses against the LGBT community.
