U.S. Supports Reconstruction of Vidrovan Community Center

On Sunday, September 18, Principal Officer of the U.S. Consulate in Podgorica Arlene Ferrill, Prime Minister of the Government of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, CHF Chief of Party Nathan Koeshall, and President of the Local Community Vidrovan Miodrag Jovanovic will participate in a ceremony to open the reconstructed community center in the Vidrovan community of Niksic. The ceremony will be a part of the Celebration of Municipality Day.
Funds for the reconstruction were provided by a donation from the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) via the Community Revitalization through Democratic Action (CRDA) program, and implemented by CHF International. Reconstruction of the Vidrovan Multi-Purpose Community Center was identified as a priority of the citizens of Vidrovan through the Community Development Council (CDC). The total value of the project is $229,066. USAID is providing $157,672, and the Vidrovan community is providing $71,394 in partnership with the Government of Montenegro, the Public Works Directorate, Niksic Municipality, and the Vidrovan CDC.
