U.S. Supports Montenegro's Efforts Against Weapons of Mass Destruction

September 14, 2005

On September 14, the United States provided three hours of specialized training in the use of Risk Report software. The program is designed to identify persons engaged in the trafficking of Weapons of Mass Destruction. This training is made possible by a donation from the people of the United States through the U.S. Department of State.

Training is being coordinated with the Information Technology Section of the Customs Administration and participants include 12 Montenegrin officials from the Ministry of Interior, including the Police Academy in Danilovgrad, the Administration for Anti-Moneylaundering, and the Customs Administration. Participants were trained as a team. The software provides trafficking information on a global basis and is constantly updated.
